The Notebook Editorial Reviews

"Somewhere," muses Noah Calhoun, while sitting on his porch in the moonight, "there were people making love." The Notebook, a Southern-fried story of love-lost-and-found-again, revolves around a single time-honored romantic dilemma: will beautiful Allison Nelson stay with Mr. Respectability (to whom she happens to be engaged), or will she choose Noah, the romantic rascal she left so many years ago?

My reading group has chosen this book for review.
Human interest stories such as this allow the reader to relate his/her life events to those of the subjects. Mystery, love, confusion, and last but not least, love plays its part throughout the pages. Read it and weep

i'm reviewing this book before i am even finished it. i am 3/4 of the way through, and i already feel that it's the most romantic, inspiring book of the century. i thought i loved bridges of madison county in the same way, but the notebook is so much more passionate. now i know that i could never love a book as i do this one. it's so clear to me now. i can't wait to buy a copy for everyone i know at christmastime

The Notebook is the best book I have ever read. Nicholas Sparks
knows how to write about the true meaning of love. This book
makes you realize what the meaning of love and marriage is all
about and really makes you think about the marriage vows that
say "for better or for worse." Love can last forever!

this book made me late to work because I stayed up too late in order to read it
Rating: 5 (An inspiring "must read" for all type "A" personalities.) Was helpful to 0 from 0 votes
This book helped to put my priorities back where they belong (but often wander).
Many times through the book I found myself having to put it down for awhile just so that I could "get a grip"
on my emotions. Sometimes we get so busy with work that we do not realize how
short our time here with our children/spouse really is. This book will remind you - and leave you with a lot of wet tissues
